Bail out
Learn how to bail out of a move going wrong. This
move is essential as you proceed to more difficult stunts.
Turning a mistake into
a bail-out will still look good at a skate park filled with your fans.
The simplest bail-out
involves lifting one leg and the same hand off the scooter as the move
goes wrong.
This allows you
to get one foot onto the ground with a free hand ready for balance.
The hand on the handles can keep the scooter away
from your body.
For a major bail out leap away from your scooter this will save you from
'baggin it' on the mast when you hit the deck.
The
Ollie
You need to have this skill in the
bag if you want to do a whole load of the more advance moves.
The
Ollie is the best way to get some air without the aid of curbs, steps or
ramps.
Practice
with the scooter stationary to start with. Then as you get more height
try it moving.
1.
Position your feet with your back foot near the back of the deck. The
front foot near the head of the scooter and angled forward.
2.
Raise the back foot heel, with you weight centered on the ball and toes.
3. Push
down with your back foot heel, and immediately jump up. Lead with your
back foot followed by your front foot after sliding it right to the
front of the deck and pull the handlebars
4. Bend
you legs when you are in the air and relax your arms.

Ollie
Manual
Wheelies on a scooter!
It
works like this, cruise at a good speed, then do a normal Ollie, but try
to land on the back wheel only. Pull up on the handle bars to keep the
front in the air.
Tips
1) Set your feet so that you can balance without standing on the brake
2) Lean
your body forward toward the handlebars
3) Keep
the handlebars raise as high as you can off the ground to make this
trick look good.
